When is the Model Y available in the UK?
Tesla said it expects to deliver the performance, long range versions of the Model Y by autumn 2020. The standard version of the Model Y is expected to roll out in the spring of 2021.
What the Model Y Offers?
The Model Y can seat up to 7 passengers. Each second row seat folds flat which gives more space and storage for those long trips away with the family or on business trips. There is also an access trunk which makes it really easy for loading and unloading which makes life that little bit easier for everyone.
All-Wheel Drive- Dual Motor
The Tesla All-Wheel Drive has not one but two independent electric motors. These two motors control the front and rear wheels. This aids the handling, traction and control of the vehicle. Having the dual motor means that this vehicle has the ability to power in all weather conditions rain, mud and off road making this car ready for anything.
Range
The Model Y is fully electric. Whether it’s a short journey or a long journey the Model Y is easy to plug in with the Tesla charging points.
Tesla currently have over 16,000 Supercharges worldwide, with six new locations opening every week so there really is no excuse not to drive Tesla’s latest electric cars.

The Tesla Model Y will be available in the following price ranges:
- Long Range, that will be available at around £36,000 estimated (TBA)
- Performance Range, that will be available at around £46,000 estimated (TBA)
Autopilot
The Tesla Y comes with the standard emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, collision warning and much more.
Looking to the future for the Model Y, Tesla would like to see this model capable of offering its passengers the full Self-Driving motion experience and the ability to track you anywhere which is where Tesla stands out from its other competitors, making the impossible possible.
Interior
Looking at the interior of the Model Y you are immediately drawn towards the impressive 15 inch Touchscreen Display which gives the passenger a virtual feeling of the surroundings and gives the inside a very futuristic feeling and look. Everything from the speedometer to climate control is captured on the large display which is something you have to get used to. This is very easy to do with its very self explanatory user interface.
Whilst you are sitting in the car when the vehicle is charging, It is also expected to offer functions like Hulu, Netflix, video games and Youtube apps.
The interior itself is simple and has a minimal feel which offers a large sense of space and freedom to the drive.
The model Y also has the advantage of an all glass roof which gives a massive sense of space and light. It enables you to have more headroom and the ability to see the surroundings very well.
